Job Description

Job Summary

Under general supervision, ships, receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records in stockroom, warehouse, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·Packages, labels, and ships product and materials in accordance with requirements.

·Prepares required paperwork to accurately reflect the items to be shipped.

·Communicates with shippers, customers, and internal staff to ensure shipping information is gathered and executed properly.

·Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices, and examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.

·Accepts items into stock or releases items out of stock and records transactions.

·Stores articles in an orderly and accessible manner in bins, on floor, or on shelves in warehouse or other areas, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.

·Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

·Performs kit pulls and/or fills orders or issues supplies from stock.

·Cuts stock to size to fill order. May move, transport, or distribute stock or supplies to other department and/or among production workers.

·Maintains inventory and other stock records utilizing company ERP software.

·Tracks and verifies accuracy of inventory, counts and location, by physically counting and identifying inventory within specific locations.

·Controls issuing/receipt of inventory from/into stocking locations by following prescribed processes and handling procedures. Includes material identification, counting, transporting, and packaging for end user or storage.

·Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.

·As directed, performs periodic cycle counts and/or physical inventories and maintains inventory records.

·Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

·Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment reporting any damage to supervisors.

Other Essential Duties

·Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

Requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 2-5 years of directly related experience - including experience with both domestic and international shipping.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; inventory software; manufacturing software; spreadsheet software and word processing software.

Forklift certification

Other Skills and Abilities

·Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100

·Knowledge of ERP software, MS Office, etc.

·Receiving and inventory experience.

Physical and Mental Demands:

·Regularly required stand, walk, or be mobile throughout the facility.

·Ability to read, research, comprehend and retain job related information and instructions.

·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet requirements.

·Ability to work at a computer performing data entry and retrieving information.

·Ability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

·Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to convert units of measurement.

·Ability to count accurately.

·Uses computer and operates office equipment (phone, printers, copiers etc.).

·Frequently communicates with managers, employees, and delivery personnel Must be able to exchange accurate information.

·Specific vision abilities for this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors, and ability to adjust focus.

·Must be able to organize work area.

·U.S. Person for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data.
