CONTRACT POSITION – W2

ON-SITE POSITION IN RIDGEFIELD, CT 06877

PAY RANGE UP TO $20.00 PER HOUR (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE LEVEL)

Mechanical Technician needed in Ridgefield, Connecticut 06877 for a long-term contract opportunity with Yoh’s client.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Equipment set up and operation

Prepare and select equipment for each experiment under supervision and instruction

Equipment setup checked, pressure and leak tested if needed

Clean equipment and process area ready for experiment

Dispense chemical through inventory control system

Return or transfer chemicals to designated storage locations

Reconcile chemicals through inventory control system

Prepare solvent mixtures, solutions and solid suspensions per written procedures or standard practices

Transfer and charge liquid and solid chemicals into reactor, tank and designated containers per SOPs, batch records and standard practices

Transfer, dispense, reconcile and label hazardous wastes

Stage equipment and chemicals for batch execution and cleaning protocol per instructions (batch record, SOPs, BOPs, supervisors, etc.)

Document deviations, observations and minor changes into log sheets, batch records and cleaning protocols

Compile analytical data required for closing batch record

Close up lab books or batch records

Update and file log sheets

Label chemicals, dispensed materials, samples, packaged materials, in-process chemicals and wastes

Confirm chemical availability, quantity and status and inform the findings to leading technician or supervisor

Communicate with leading technician or supervisor whether specific preparation required for in-coming batch such as pre-boiling out, anhydrous system, special inertion and etc.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

High School Diploma

2-3 years of mechanical experience

Mechanical aptitude

Chemical handling experience preferred

Quick learner

Ability to follow directions - written and verbal

Attention to detail

Accuracy
