Extrusion Machine Operator (Entry Level )

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set-up extrusion line to run specified part

Monitors extrusion line to ensure that high quality parts are being run.

Performs change over in a timely fashion

Take cross sections of completed material to ensure product is in spec.

Compares material and part to quality standards to ensure product is in spec

Know and adheres to the quality standards

Maintains clean line for production

Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole

numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

and ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved

written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete

variables in standardized situations.
