1. 1+ years of experience installing commercial/enterprise security systems - including access control, IP based video systems and intrusion alarm systems.

2. 1+ years of experience troubleshooting & programming commercial/enterprise security systems – including working on a customer’s network.

3. Must understand device/manufacturer basics - HID card readers, Hanwha and Axis cameras, AiPhone and 2N intercoms, access control and intrusion panel wiring.

Knowledges of Genetec, Honeywell Pro-Watch, C-Cure 9000, Lenel, OpenPath, Exacq, AMAG, Milestone S2 is a plus.

NYC Metro is now recruiting Commercial Security Lead Installation Technicians that have experience installing and servicing commercial security devices primarily IP network systems and overall security systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Looking for someone who can listen to and follow directions very well.

• Need to be able to wire a field device.

• Understand basics of a door and camera.

• IP cameras, intercoms, and panels.

• Install and wire equipment used in systems.

• Tests all equipment after termination is made to ensure performance of the system.

• Comfortable working in large commercial buildings and high rises.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Looking for someone with great communication skills, ambitious, with a great attitude.

*Full time employment will require a valid driving license and clean MVR.

This position will give someone the opportunity to advance their skills with card access and CCTV systems. Security 101 is willing to train and develop on devices and programming. There is a lot of room for growth within the company.

Work will be completed during normal business hours M-F 8-4, or varying hours (job dependent). There will be plenty of opportunity for overtime and weekend work for those who are interested.

A technician can typically expect to be paired with another technician and ride with a fulltime employee in a company vehicle. This is not always the case.
