Part-Time Cashier/Sales Associate

Responsibilities

Providing engaging, friendly and helpful customer service to all customers.

Learning our bakery products, ingredients, prices, and packaging, in order to answer questions and make suggestions to customers.

Ensuring the bakery display cases and shelves are well stocked.

Assisting in completing opening and closing duties.

Maintaining a clean sales area (cases, workstations, equipment, etc.).

Utilizing the point of sale (POS) system; performing all cash functions and exchanges, following proper cash and credit card handling procedures.

Once trained, writing messages with icing on cakes.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Previous retail sales experience helpful, but not required.

Customer focused, with strong interpersonal communication and math skills to process customer orders.

Ability to work as a team player.

Attention to detail and presentation.

Hours

Part-time; 20-29 hours/week

Must have flexibility to work varying shifts, based on business demand, between the hours of 7:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday, with Friday and Saturday availability required.

Since this position is year-round and requires daytime availability, high school students, and college students that are not available to work during the school yearwill not be considered.

Closed Sundays and on major holidays, which include New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.

Must be available to work on All Hands on Deck Days.

Additional Information

Must be able to pass a drug and background screening test prior to hire.

Will be required to wear slip resistant shoes during your shift.

Work Location

2500 Washington Road, North Strabane, PA 15317; must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate prior to starting work.
