We are seeking a Summer Intern to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Herndon, VA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the Unissant Innovation Center in developing POC's using emerging technologies and tools in Big Data and Analytics, Data Science, Mobile Computing, Advanced Analytics, AI, Machine Learning and Cyber Security leveraging the Innovation center's infrastructure.

Support the development of white papers, presentations etc.

Prepare presentations & present any findings from the POC work to Unissant Management and Customers, if needed

Work Experience:

Prior coop/intern experience is highly desired but not required

Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java

Knowledge of data science tools and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Tensorflow, PyTorch preferred

Knowledge of one-way hash encoding, checksums, encryption and cryptography preferred

Knowledge of web technologies like React, Angular

Experience working with Adobe, Office 365 tools preferred

Job Skills:

Knowledge of computer science fundamentals (algorithms, programming languages, data structures, database design, operating systems etc.)

The ability to work in a team environment

Excellent problem-solving skills

High Level desire to learn new technologies and apply them to real world problems

Exhibits the characteristics of a continuous learner.

Education:

Currently enrolled in Computer Science or related Degree program

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

None

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal, written and communication skills, and ability to present

Ability to write clear and creative content of the findings

Travel:

None

Environmental Requirements:

Mainly sedentary; in an office environment

May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds

Flexible in working extended hours
