Overview:

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making within our organization. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that empower stakeholders to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. Your primary focus will be on engineering analytics tools and solutions, including the development of interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.

Responsibilities:

Analytics Tool Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain scalable analytics tools and solutions that enable efficient data analysis and visualization.

Dashboard Development: Create interactive and user-friendly dashboards using BI tools such as DOMO, CRMA, Tableau, or similar platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into intuitive dashboard designs.

Data Modeling: Develop data models and structures to support efficient data retrieval and analysis. Optimize data architecture for performance and scalability, ensuring seamless integration with various data sources.

ETL Development: Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from disparate sources to and from the data warehouse. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ETL pipeline.

Report Generation: Generate ad-hoc and scheduled reports based on business requirements. Customize reports to provide actionable insights to different business units and stakeholders.

Data Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations that communicate insights effectively. Utilize best practices in data visualization to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner.

Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance the performance and efficiency of existing BI solutions. Implement optimizations to streamline data processing and improve user experience.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Proven experience in business intelligence development, analytics engineering, or related roles.

Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.

Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar platforms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation tasks.

Knowledge of API integration for data extraction and integration.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $81,000 – $100,000.

The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
