Overview:

A Data Scientist I applies knowledge of statistics, machine learning, data modeling, and advanced mathematics to identify to solve biomedical problems. The Data Scientist I will use computational mathematics and statistics, data mining and advanced visualization techniques to present data in a meaningful and understandable way. The Data Scientist I should also provide the Principal Investigator and lab members with actionable insights around the analyzed data.

Responsibilities:

- Conducts end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables and presentations.

- Works with Principal Investigator and lab members to identify and document project analytics requirements and expected outcomes.

- Communicate results and measure improvement of analytics projects.

- Discovers emerging analytic techniques and applies them to the business.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree In Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, computer science or related field preferred and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training 1-2 years' experience in healthcare data and/or data science preferred, but none required or

Starting Pay:

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $33.88/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home:

This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
