Overview:

Lift Truck Operator

Role: Supply all necessary materials to the production department as required to maintain an efficient department. Remove boxed finished product from conveyor for placement in staging areas prior to loading on the Shuttle trucks to Mountain Top.

SHIFT: 12 Hours Rotating Shift

-Candidate must be willing to work any shift based on production needs

PAY: Starting at $19.59/HR, with the $1.50 night shift differential

Responsibilities:

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Supply cartons and bags to the Production.

Move boxes of finished product from conveyor to trailers or other staging areas.

Remove unused and scrap packaging materials from the line and transport them to the Middle warehouse for storage or recycling

Perform daily housekeeping requirements in areas of responsibility.

Performs other duties as assigned by shift Team Leader.

Safely operate the Dock doors, Dock plates and Dock door indicator lights.

Properly maintain documentation and inventory recall.

Remove all dumpsters from the entire plant and empty into the trash compactor

Operate and maintain the Carton sealers, tapers, and the stretch wrappers.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to accurately control inventory throughout the entire process.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience in lieu of education

• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations and without posing a threat to the health and safety of fellow employees

• Ability to read and understand written specifications, safety issues and interpretation of diagrams for proper packaging

ADA – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to:

• Work an 8 to 12-hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods

• Climb

• Heed safety warnings, devices and alarms

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

• Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifts up to 75 lbs. All lifts over 75 lbs require 2-person lift or mechanical assistance

• Possess an adequate ability to do problem solving and establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment
