Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is a multi-faceted position that will support field and corporate employees, company initiatives, and special projects. The Human Resources Generalist will also partner with Regional Operations Specialists in providing coaching and guidance in employee relations, pay, and training issues. In addition, this role will partner with the Human Resources team in providing collaborative support to corporate management and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities::
Partners with Practice Management to address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances
Works with Practice Management to complete new hire process in company HRIS, auditing as needed to maintain data integrity and compliance with I-9s
Provides consultation and support to Practice Management on employee issues, including performance improvement and progressive discipline
Partners with Human Resources Managers to provide training to field staff in various disciplines such as employee relations, recruiting, and HRIS administration
Tracks compliance with mandatory training, escalating when necessary on programs such as safety training, anti-harassment and discrimination training, and best practices
Responds to employee inquiries and requests in a professional and timely manner, interpreting and explaining policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations as needed
Responds to unemployment claims and verifications of employment
Performs various functions in company acquisition process, including training managers on company HRIS and coordinating with vendors
Prepares reports, presentations, memorandums, proposals and correspondence as needed, such as employee investigation summaries, disciplinary notices, field communication, etc.
Other duties and projects as assigned
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of Human Resources experience required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be highly motivated self-starter with ability to take initiative and meet deadlines
Working knowledge of employment law, including FMLA, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation
Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
Ability to establish strong working relationships with employees at all organizational levels
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner is essential
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of personnel information
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
The person in this position frequently communicates with managers at remote locations using email and phone. Must be able to exchange clear, accurate information in these situations.
Occasionally moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
The person in this position frequently communicates and collaborates with co-workers in the office
Frequent keyboarding/data entry
Technical Skills::
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Previous experience with Payroll/HRIS systems
