Position Summary:
The Vendor Services Specialist will be an integral part of the Company’s Operations team. The position will report to the Vendor Services and Procurement Manager and will be responsible for partnership activities and ongoing support for the Company’s vendor relationships. This team member will support ongoing efforts in continuous improvement, vendor account management, and ongoing supplier optimization. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, an eye for detail, and demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve problems in a quick and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities::
Manage vendor network for compliance and quality in accordance with contractual requirements and guidelines
Conduct research and analysis of supplier spend and advise Vendor Services and Procurement Manager on the financial impact of decisions to consolidate vendor spend or align with vendors on preferred product sales strategies
Collaborate with Vendor Services Manager to negotiate favorable terms and conditions for contracts
Manage supplier rebate and discount programs and hold vendors accountable to the terms of those programs
Act as a liaison between the vendor and various departments and clinics to resolve issues/concerns
Maintain and conduct regular audits of vendor pricing on web-based procurement platform
Responsible for supporting ongoing maintenance of vendor accounts for local practices
Manage implementation and ongoing support of online pharmacy including hospital onboardings and marketing promotions
Manage implantation of vendor-funded marketing promotions in partnership with marketing team
Support ongoing vendor services initiatives and projects
Other duties and projects as assigned
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Basic Qualifications:
2-3 years of work experience desired
Experience strongly preferred in veterinary or similar industry; including veterinary practice manager or veterinary technician
Ability to multi-task and organize duties is essential
Excellent communication skills are critical
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
The person in this position frequently communicates with managers at remote locations using email and phone. Must be able to exchange clear, accurate information in these situations.

Frequent keyboarding/use of computer for data entry
Technical Skills::
Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
