Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and maintain a standard test architecture for all automated testing within Frontgrade Aethercomm in order to standardize and streamline all workflows.

Train and develop new and current Test Engineers within a standardized automated testing architecture to ensure uniformity across test benches and programs.

Create and maintain documentation related to standardized automated testing architecture to ensure departmental knowledge is captured.

Responsible for ensuring all test requirements for the organization’s design and production offerings are executed effectively and efficiently, while ensuring the reliability of deliverables required both internally and in-line with customer expectations.

Monitor creation and maintain quality control of test documentation, test reports, and documentation organization.

Maintain test equipment related expenditure monitoring to maintain budgetary cost control.

Interact with the Responsible Engineer (RE), Program Manager, Test Technicians, and the necessary Operation’s personnel to resolve production and test related issues within the program team or engineering type tasks.

Provide interpretation of customer specifications for generation of and/or correction of testing procedures, and review test data for trends and inaccuracies.

Strong understanding of RF design such as RF amplification and linearization technologies, data interfaces and system peripherals, to efficiently design test setups, procedures, and automation to support design validation and data collection.

Provide the design of new test setups, especially special test equipment (STE) and harness design, development, documentation, and integration.

Mastery of automation for test equipment such as Agilent/Keysight and Rhode and Schwartz (RF Signal Generator, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Vector Network Analyzers, RF Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, RF Power meters).

Perform test procedure automation using LabVIEW software and data reporting algorithms (XML, SQL) to ensure testing is capable of being monitored for yield and supports data mining and trend analysis.

Support proposals work for scope of testing required. internal vs. external testing, time estimates for tests, and identifying needs for automation and estimates for creating the automation.

Review and provide feedback to Responsible Engineers on design qualification plans and develop into documentation in the form of: Design Verification Test (DVT) Procedures, Qualification Test Procedures (QTP), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and Test Data Record’s (TDR’s).

Participate in all phases of a projects life cycle to provide input to design and ability to support testing in preparation for Test Readiness Review (TRR).

Ensure that relevant Test Data Sheets/Engineering notes are correct, accurate and are provided on a timely basis for review and discussion.

Ensure personnel safety procedures are followed at all times and/or highlight/raise concern to the appropriate personnel if safety hazards are found. Assist in the corrective action of any such hazards found.

Coordinate test activities within an assigned program team and where there isn’t a defined program team with tasks assigned.

Ensure all equipment used in the performance of daily test tasks is in acceptable working condition and calibrated as required in accordance with program documentation. Any equipment not meeting the requirements is logged and the appropriate personnel notified (Equipment Manager, Supervisor, and applicable program team members).

Ensure all program paperwork is completed correctly, signed, and dated in accordance with the applicable program documentation.

Assist in maintaining the test labs, associated areas, and equipment in a proper and safe working environment.

Provide guidance and training to other test personnel on an “as required basis” and assist in ensuring the workflow is being met by all test personnel.

Attend production meetings (as necessary) and report any necessary information with respect to Test Engineering and Environmental Test.

Maintain close security of the company’s test assets, including test equipment, chambers, tooling, STEs, and reference units (Golden Units).

Ensure that any relevant reports are correct and provided on a timely basis.

Provide oversight and guidance for all direct reports to support test readiness for all new and sustained development programs entering production and DVT test.

Oversee test support and coordination of standard and specialized testing methods, equipment, waveforms, automated test software programs and STE’s.

The ability to travel and provide test support for occasional offsite testing.

Qualifications:

HOW TO SUCCEEDTo join us you’ll need: Minimum Requirements:Eight (8) years or more of experience in a specialized functional discipline.

Security clearance is required or the ability to obtain one.

This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.

Preferred Qualifications:MS Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet Software, LabVIEW, Microsoft Visual Studio C, C#, C++, VB.net or any other programming languages. Database knowledge, SQL, Pspice, or equivalent.
