IT Intern

Responsibilities:

Sentinel is seeking candidates for a summer internship this summer. As a Network Engineer Intern you will be joining a team of like engineers to learn complex LAN/WAN, route/switch implementation and support techniques. You will be learning to support highly scalable solutions designed with Cisco and other networking. You will spend your summer beginning your career with us by working with Sentinel’s top engineers in a shadowing and training program designed to build your skills in customer relations, Sentinel history and technical competencies. You will have the opportunity to learn some of the most innovative technologies in the integration and support field. This internship program is designed to accelerate a recent or future graduate with a degree from basic skills into hands on practical implementation. At the end of the internship you will be reviewed by our internal hiring managers for an opportunity to receive a job offer for future employment. This position is located onsite in Downers Grove, IL.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a junior in college or higher working towards a Bachelor’s degree

Major in Computer or Network Engineering or related field

Demonstrated hands-on implementation/troubleshooting of networking concepts

Any hands-on experience implementing Cisco, EMC, NetApp, or Microsoft technologies helpful not required

Ability to work independently or as a team

The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment

A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required

Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
