The Analyst, Broadcast Workflows position is responsible for providing day-to-day monitoring, management, and support of TEGNA’s information technology platforms focused on newsroom and on-air workflows and applications. This includes supporting both on premise and cloud-based technology, and support of the end user community using these solutions. This position will work effectively with other IT teams, Corporate departments, business units, consultants, vendors, and service providers to ensure smooth operation of TEGNA’s IT platforms and applications. This position will ensure that the appropriate and timely communication of information and events occurs between the team and the people we support.

Position may be based at any of TEGNA's stations.

Responsibilities:

Architect, research, plan, implement and continually improve TEGNA’s on premise and cloud-based infrastructure for newsrooms and on-air tech.

Work with station and application owners to understand needs, predict capacity, forecast cost for budgeting, and deliver scalable, dynamic, cost-effective solutions with agility.

Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, meticulously documenting the resolutions.

Document station and application workflows, build knowledge base articles, enable self-service and the help desk where possible.

Implement toolsets and build workflows to drive automation and proactively alert on potential issues.

Maintain a station inventory of applications, versions, and other relevant data in the ServiceNow CMDB that is easily reportable.

Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends and recommending system improvements.

React to changes positively, handle other essential tasks as assigned, and productively challenge the status quo as appropriate.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.

1-3 years of technical support experience.

Two or more years of demonstrated experience with broadcast technologies, such as Bit Central, WSI, Chyron, BTI News Ticker, EDIUS, ENPS Newsroom Systems, Production Control Room Automation, and monitoring toolsets. Cloud experience is a plus.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience of service desk concepts and toolsets including ITIL, knowledge management, CMDB and ServiceNow.

Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks/projects and follow through to completion independently or as part of a team.

As a member of a service organization, ability to effectively communicate technical topics to various levels of internal customers and outside business partners.

Ability to think analytically and solve problems creatively.

Pay Range

$60,000—$85,000 USD
