Mechanical Test Engineer

The Mechanical Test Engineer will be based in Hyderabad. In this position, you will report to the Senior Manager - Design Test Lab.

Here is a glimpse of what you will do:

Complete product testing and qualification as per test requirements.

Setup the test rig along with fixtures for component qualification.

Analyze the test results using the relevant test software.

Create and publish the test reports.

Designing the test fixtures.

Modelling the tracker parts and creating component & assembly drawings.

Support engineering teams with fixture design and development.

Collaborate with various cross-functional teams (product engineering and NPI teams).

Engage with suppliers in fixture development.

Here is some of what you will need (required):

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of related experience in executing component testing.

Prior experience in handling and driving product qualification activities.

Experience with Solid Works in drafting, modelling, fixture design, detailing practices.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes like welding, sheet metal stamping, casting etc.

Ability to manufacture fixtures for testing using the machine shop.

Experience in developing component test specifications.
