The project:

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

The senior project controls manager will be responsible for managing the monitoring, analysis and communications of project data including but not limited to budgets, cost, planning, change, risk, baseline, and contractual communications.

As well as developing, implementing, and maintaining project baselines and associated performance measuring tools to support project objectives. The senior project controls manager will coach and lead the project management team through the production of all project controls deliverables. Specifically leading on risk management, reporting, and information flowing within the team, and up to client stakeholders.

You will shape, manage and actively promote supply-chain reporting and project controls inputs for your asset, collaborating with a wider Precinct and city team to aggregate into business level insights.

You will create and design effective implementations of PMO and project controls framework s and strategies on assigned commissions.

You will be developing your expertise in PMO and project controls, with a growing internal and external network (e.g. clients, contractors, consultancies and other stakeholders).

Actively support and align work with the clients’ strategic objectives and promote the client’s mission and vision.

Managing the client relationship and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Participating in operational review meetings as the controls and reporting representative, contributing to the ongoing development of the function and the creation of opportunities for efficiency/value enhancement associated with the delivery of solutions.

Being responsible for the execution of the portfolio controls, delivering outcomes in line with expectations of the portfolio’s deliverables aligning activities to strategic organization objectives and operating targets.

Supporting the ongoing planning and execution of schedule management, interface management, earned value management, change management, risk management, interfaces, baseline management, document management, and reporting.

Assuring the operational governance across delivery and ensuring the interfaces with the organisation’s ways of working gateways.

Taking ownership of specific performance management KPIs relevant to the role and ensure systems and processes are in place to monitor performance against them and as necessary implement remedial actions to maintain/exceed KPI targets.

Capturing lessons learned for delegated areas of responsibilities, supporting other project team members in the ongoing continual improvement of the organization.

Defines and manages baseline, risk, change, schedule, information management, reporting, cost and earned value management and reporting on the project.

Contributing to the implementation of the programme strategy and the development of the specific project action plan.

Monitoring performance of project activities using key metrics and preparing reports for senior management.

Supervising the project controls department to define all project plan documents, including the scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans.

Responsible for the development and distribution of presentations, weekly, and monthly reporting in all aspects of the project.

Responsible for the delivery of best-practice analysis and insight generation for internal and external stakeholders through provision of targeted data-driven reporting.

You will support the hub PMO and project controls director with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.

You’ll need to have:

A degree qualification.

Chartership or pursuing a similar level of professional qualifications.

Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.

Broad knowledge in project controls.

Working experience in the MEA region.

Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the construction sector.

Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.

Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.

Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.

Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.

Influential skills - experience in leading or senior role on major construction projects.
