Job Description
CQ Insulation is a leading contractor for building insulation, and division 10 specialties focusing on large-scale new construction projects throughout the country, including multi-family, residential, senior living, commercial, and government construction.
We are seeking an Entry Level / Experienced Estimator to join our growing company at our Dallas, TX office. You will work with and learn from experienced Estimators and our Business Development team to create winning strategies and to deliver solutions to customers including Conceptual Estimating, Budget Development, Cost Planning, Value Engineering, and more.
Duties you will be responsible for:
• Analyze and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs to review with Sr. Estimator and/or Estimating Manager,
• Prepare accurate and competitive bid packages,
• Review contract documents and recommend scope changes prior to execution,
• Detail unusual or challenging conditions within construction documents,
• Prepare and answer questions for Production personnel.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Interest in learning and understanding the Construction industry,
• Proficient in MS Excel (no coding req.), estimating software a plus,
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications,
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work,
• Highly organized, efficient, detail oriented,
• Strong math skills,
• Bachelor's Degree.
