Responsibilities/Duties:
Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
Conduct regular patrols
Monitor activities
Surveillance
Access Control
Safety escorts
Using provided communication devices
Represent SSNW’s brand
Properly wear the issued uniform
Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
Complete Incident Reports
Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services
Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
Other duties as described in the Post Orders
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must have 5+ years experience as a Correctional Officer, or Law Enforcement Officer
Must have Graveyard/ Weekend availability
Reliable transportation & VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting.
Honesty and Integrity
Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
Must hold a Washington State Unarmed Security Guard License
Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Prior experience with juveniles/ youth
Prior Public Safety and/or Military experience
Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment
Valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols
Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
