The Role

Qualified doctors have the opportunity to join the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at this leading acute care facility. The opportunity is open to doctors outside formal training streams, such as Unaccredited Registrars and Senior Residents, seeking hands-on experience in high-acuity Intensive Care.

Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $131,000 - $183,500 per annum, pro rata + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Fixed Term full time, shift-worker position working 76 hours (+ 10 hours protected training time) commencing from September 2024 until February 2026.The Location

The Facility

160 beds, employing 780 dedicated staff members.

An accredited teaching hospital in collaboration with the University of Tasmania Rural Clinical School.The ICU, comprising of 8 beds, is overseen by an Intensivist. Clinical care is delivered by experienced Intensivists, also CICM Fellows, with round-the-clock availability. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the unit facilitates advanced interventions such as mechanical ventilation, continuous renal replacement, and echocardiography, among others. Recognized by the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) for both Foundation and Rural training in Intensive Care Medicine, the unit is authorized to train candidates enrolled in Commonwealth-funded IRTP and TMSDT programs.
