Position Summary
The Marketing Technology Specialist forms an integral part of the centralized Marketing Operations function. The role of the Marketing Technology team within the broader function is to optimize, integrate and support multiple technology platforms, processes, and products to streamline and scale the Firm's Business Development & Marketing efforts. The Marketing Technology Team operates globally, supporting strategic initiatives ranging from client relationship management, email & event marketing, automation, product development and data & information management.
The Marketing Technology Specialist is a subject matter expert with advanced knowledge of marketing technology related principles and processes. The role is global in remit and involves product ownership and technology rollout responsibilities, in addition to the effective coordination of tasks and resources to deliver on the Firm's business development and marketing goals.
Duties and Responsibilities1
Act as a conduit between the Global Marketing Technology Team and functional stakeholders
Addressing issues, concerns and adopting a solution-focused approach, whilst striving to improve working relationships and processes
A trusted advisor on processes, platforms and products within the Marketing Technology function
Contribute to the day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of the marketing technology processes, platforms and workflow
Proactively seek out opportunities to connect people, platforms, processes, and products to maximize the potential across the marketing technology portfolio and improve operational efficiency, effectiveness and user adoption
Product manage marketing technology solutions/processes as required - translating objectives into user stories, technical requirements and recommendations, setting priorities, and overseeing ongoing development and upgrades
Work effectively alongside external vendors, feeding suggestions for future product roadmaps and beta testing new components
Project lead new technology and change management initiatives. Researching, learning and piloting new solutions and on boarding team members and other users
Collaborate with requestors and stakeholders across multiple teams and functions, both local and global, to achieve cross-functional initiatives
Assist in the centralization and organization of marketing data sets to ensure the flow of work, information, and data across all marketing technology operations
Support the implementation of the new Marketing Technology Team operating model through change management and up-skilling initiatives
Provide support and guidance to team members on work product, requestor communication and task management
Facilitate new joiner inductions, raising the profile of the team and our service offering
Maintain the self-driven initiative to improve knowledge and technical skillset
Perform any additional responsibilities as necessary for the function
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and marketing background an advantage; relevant Information Science, Computer Science, Digital Marketing or related discipline with technical experience would be a distinct advantage
Law firm/professional services experience preferred but not required
Previous experience in managing and optimizing marketing technology related platforms and processes is required (ex., campaign management, list segmentation, data management and/or automation)
Advanced understanding of client relationship management (CRM) principles and processes is necessary
Excellent communication skills – written and oral – and the ability to work at all levels is necessary
Experience working in an environment focused on continuous improvement - adapts quickly to new circumstances or priorities and willing to contribute new ideas
Knowledge of coding languages, such as HTML, JavaScript, HTML/CSS or SQL, is advantageous
Data storytelling and visualization skills are advantageous
An advanced understanding of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA is necessary
Experience in project and product management, technology rollouts and change management initiatives is advantageous
Experience with managing and driving projects with the Agile Project Management methodology is advantageous
Experience training and onboarding team members and users is necessary
A solid understanding of UX/UI principles would be advantageous

Location and Reporting
This is a hybrid in-office/remote role based in our Tampa office.
This role reports to the Marketing Technology Manager.
