The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.

What We Do:

OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

Salary & Schedule Information for Established Term Appointment (ETA):

An Established Term Appointment (ETA) temporary position for 10 months with possible extensions

$24.39 per hour - step increase after working 2080hrs

ETAs are eligible for Healthcare benefits

ETAs receive personal leave every 4 months

Established Term Appointments (ETA) are scheduled to meet the needs of the hospital with no guarantee of hours, shifts or assignment location but ETA LPNs, may work 25-80 hours per a 2 week pay period based on their availability and the needs of the hospital.

Days & Hours vary based on operational need. Shifts times can be flexible to include 8 hour and/or 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays

What You Will Do:

Provide medication, education, and empowerment to individuals

Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, and response to medication

Monitor patient health including vital signs, treatment plan progress, and activity participation

Serve in a fundamental role as a multi-disciplinary team member that creates a safe and positive environment through safety and observation rounds and group facilitation

You Also Need to Know:

Must be able to complete a 2 week (business days Monday-Friday) full time orientation

May work weekends and holidays; may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpredictable patient behavior

Training and development required to remain in the classification after employment

Biennial renewal of licensure as LPN
