The General Manager oversees the Banking and Insurance Group at Carfax, holding the top executive position with Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility. This role is responsible for strategic planning and operational execution, leading a team of 70 people across sales, marketing, and product management for a portfolio of information products related to auto insurance and auto finance. This position reports to the CEO of CARFAX.At CARFAX, we believe in the power of teamwork and value in-person interactions so that we can collaborate and thrive together. This position will require 4 days in the office subject to change with future business needs.

What you’ll be doing:

Set Strategy: Participates in business planning and product road map development; establishes game plan and key performance indicators.

Direct 3 Sales Organizations: Guides the company’s sales and account management efforts within 3 separate revenue centers: auto insurance underwriting, auto insurance claims, and auto finance.

Direct Product Planning: Prioritizes/reviews product development and maintenance initiatives to ensure market success.

Meet Financial Targets: Responsible for attaining/exceeding revenue and growth targets while managing expenses and headcount.

Build a Strong Team/Organizational Capability: hire, coach, develop, and motivate A players.

Manage Operations: Ensures the company’s cross-functional teams operate in unison to achieve high performance.

What we’re looking for:

Entrepreneurial and results-driven leader with 7+ years of strategic leadership experience and a proven track record of success leading sales teams and innovating a portfolio of products.

Executive management and business development experience in the insurance industry. Must be a strong negotiator, deal-maker and communicator.

Demonstrated success managing P&L, growing revenue, and exceeding financial and business targets.

Experience creating and leading a high-performing organization. Must have demonstrated success hiring, motivating and leading teams, using KPIs and metrics to drive accountability, and improving salesforce effectiveness.

Strong operational experience with focus on process improvements, optimizing work flow, building consensus, and improving teamwork across functions and geographies. What’s in it for you:
