Epiroc USA LLC is currently seeking a Product and Application Specialist for Surface Automation. Our Surface Drilling (SRD) business focuses on developing, manufacturing, and marketing a wide range of automation and technology products for surface drills used in aggregate, construction, and mining markets. Epiroc USA LLC is the dealer for ASI Mining in the US, a leader in OEM agnostic Autonomous Haulage Systems for surface mining and at the forefront of innovation in this sector. The Product & Application Specialist will be the technical expert in their market segments, collaborating with Epiroc Product Companies (PCs) to align product availability with customer needs.

The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds, frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and is occasionally required to lift up to and in excess of 100 pounds. The position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities:

Define and communicate surface automation product value to the sales force and market for securing premium pricing.

Participate in new product development programs, including conducting Voice of the Customer research to understand current and future demands.

Research competition, provide product analysis, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.

Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction with Surface Automation products through personalized service and leveraging the Epiroc service network.

Coordinate the exposure of assigned products in the marketplace through trade shows, demos, case studies, and advertising initiatives.

Manage the Order to Delivery process for the Customer Center, including order forecasting and coordination with Product Companies.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.

Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the mining or construction field preferred.

Strong mechanical/technical background is required for issue resolution & reasoning/discussing “root cause analysis” with customers.

Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to inquiries.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Advanced training in computer aided maintenance systems, reporting, databases, and spreadsheets are preferred.

Proficient level skills in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

Possess a valid/active driver’s license.

Maintain required US Department of Labor, Mine Safety & Health Administration Training Certificates, or complete necessary training programs to acquire and keep up to date with all customer-specific site safety requirements.

Preferred location for this role is in Garland, TX or Broomfield, CO but consideration will be given to candidates who are within an hour drive from an US-based International Airport.

Travel expected, up to 50% primarily within the US.
