Summary
Our school is looking for an experienced Pre-K teacher to help our students explore the world around them. We focus on nature and child led learning. Our teachers have the opportunity to delve deeply into topics with their students to create meaningful learning experiences for everyone. We follow a Conscious Discipline model of social-emotional learning, and provide professional development training to assist our teachers' growth in their craft.
We are a group of passionate, hard-working, early childhood teachers, and we would love to find the right teacher to join our leadership team! You will work with an assistant teacher as well as have paid planning, prep, and documentation time in your schedule. You are right for our program if you enjoy a collaborative environment in a small, nonprofit school.
Duties
Teachers in our program are responsible for:
following all licensing guidelines,
providing open, positive communication with students, parents, and coworkers
planning meaningful lessons each week
navigating transitions with students in positive, fun ways
maintaining classroom cleanliness
writing weekly newsletters
maintaining class documentation board
creating student learning portfolios
following ECERS assessment standards (training provided)
following CLASS assessment standards (training provided)
Requirements
At least two years of experience in preschool setting
High school diploma
Fingerprint Clearance Card
Negative TB Test
Nice To Haves
Understanding of Reggio Emilia Philosophy
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Equivalent
Awareness of Emergent Curriculum
