About the Job

Sigma Defense is in search of a Senior DevOps Engineer to provide on-site support in Patuxent River, MD, USA, focusing on modernizing large, legacy applications and building and running a full DevSecOps environment and workflow for the MINOTAUR Family of Systems (Fos). The ideal candidate will possess 5-8 years of experience in an IT-related role, with expertise in CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, and software development in languages like C, C++, and Java. Required certifications include Security+, while GitLab and other certifications are highly desired. Candidates must have or be able to obtain an active DoD issued Secret security clearance and hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Cybersecurity, or a related field (a Master's degree is preferred). Key responsibilities include software development, automation, validation and verification testing, and providing technical guidance and project management expertise to the engineering team. Sigma Defense Systems offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package including dental and vision insurance, medical coverage, life and AD&D coverage, a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions, educational assistance, and more.
