Commissioning Automation Specialist

Selectek is partnering with a company located near Houston, Texas to fill a Commissioning Automation Specialist role for a 12-month contract. This client creates automation/controls systems for clients in an array of industries.

Employment Type: Contract, expected to last 12+ months

Expected Pay Range: $40-$70 per hour depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Job Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience working in automation commissioning

- Proficiency with GE PAC PLC systems will be crucial

- Knowledge of Omni and ABB Spirit or other flow computers

- Experience with software installation, upgrades, and licensing policies

- Ideal candidates are able to read and interpret P&IDs

In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client s request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Details: Candidate will provide remote and onsite support for controls systems site installation, commissioning, and checkouts for power and pipeline asset areas. This firm has multiple projects stretching from Lake Jackson to the Beaumont/Port Arthur area that are always in action. Data will be sourced directly from the field or via data historians such as PI.
