Job Summary:
An Electrical Journeyman is a skilled and seasoned individual who can read and interpret drawings, submittals and Electrical schematics. He must be willing to take on portions of a project and lead the way with a few apprentices and minimum support from his Foreman. Must be willing to walk jobs with inspectors if the foreman is not available or on another job. Can build conduit racks and run min of 500’ of conduit per day. Has unmatched pipe bending skills and is able to pass inspections through his interpretation of the N.E.C. Must have a Code book 2021 or newer.
Responsibilities:
Working knowledge of electrical principles, codes
The ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints
Read and interpret Engineered lighting control drawings
Lighting control installation and programming
Training of apprentices
Report to foreman daily on job progress and challenges
Foresee material needs for upcoming phases of work
Follow instruction from his Foreman.
Work in a safe manner and report any dangers to immediate supervisor
Layout using reflected ceiling plans.
Use a Laser to layout lighting, suspension points and conduit racks
Set Switchgear, Transformers and panels
Cad welding / Bonding of critical grounding and electrode systems
Coordinate Dry utility work with Foreman and utility companies
Perform work on platform scissor lifts, boom lifts and single man-lifts
Education, Skills and Experience:
5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE IN ELECTRICAL FIELD
Has a current General electrician certification
Owns all hand tools related to a Journeyman
Valid Driver License
Reliable transportation
Fluent in speaking and writing in English
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Good interaction skills with the ability to work as a team
Great attitude
OSHA 30 Card

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
