The Role:
PulsePoint is currently seeking an exceptionally skilled hands-on Associate QA Manager, Downstream to join our team. The Associate QA Manager is responsible for managing the overall system test strategy and functions. The key responsibilities also include implementing, enforcing and maintaining QA standards and processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee functional testing for PulsePoint Platform
In conjunction with QA Director, set estimates, timelines, and milestones for all major deployments
Coordinate launch and post-launch QA activities and closely monitor impact of product changes
Establish QA metrics and reporting dashboards for downstream stakeholders
Document long-term testing strategy and changes required
In conjunction with QA Director, oversee overall QA Automation process, and metrics across all platforms
Assist in the design and evolution of the company’s QA process
Identify and communicate risk and risk mitigation strategies
Delegate technical tasks among the team members and execute as per the project plan
Contribute as an individual during test design, test planning, and test execution
Review test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure coverage based on requirements
Assure synchronization with other systems occurring for full coverage
Collaborate on and learn new technologies
Work closely with on-site and remote stakeholders in several countries
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited, four-year university or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance in web-based technologies
Experience with leading a team of test engineers in their daily activities and guiding the resources on their approach
Strong experience with manual testing
Hands-on experience with automation testing and database testing
Familiarity with API testing
Excellent team communication and mentorship skills
Strong understanding of web technologies and protocols and proven experience testing web application
Deal well with a shift in testing scope or time sensitive requests
Experience gathering testing requirements for projects with minimal development documentation
Strong problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
Strong familiarity with issue tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis, etc.)
Strong understanding of the SDLC and testing methodologies
Proficient in SQL
Work hours: second shift (12-9pm IST)
Note that the hiring manager is in the U.S. but the majority of the QA team is in India and you can work India hours (end your days at around 11am ET U.S. time/9pm IST)
Must be willing and able to work in our Mumbai office, hybrid for 3 days/week
