The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and upkeep of our warehouse facility. This position requires a versatile individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.

Shift: 8am-4:30pm

Status: Temp to Hire

Pay: $20+/hr dependent upon experience

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:

Inspecting and repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Conducting regular inspections of facility equipment and machinery.

Performing preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment such as conveyor systems, forklifts, and pallet jacks.

Addressing maintenance requests and troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Responding to emergency maintenance situations and resolving them efficiently.

Conducting repairs and replacements of damaged or malfunctioning equipment and fixtures.

Assisting with facility renovations and upgrades as needed.

Maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment and replenishing them as necessary.

Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.

Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.

Participating in training programs to stay updated on maintenance techniques and best practices.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and machinery.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance situations.

Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working at heights.

Relevant certifications or licenses may be advantageous.

Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
