Your role

Join the Private Banking team at Credit Suisse (Luxembourg) S.A. Portuguese Branch from which you will be supporting the UHNWI/HNWI in Lisbon within the International Wealth Management division! Your main responsibility will be to provide high quality support to Senior Relationship.

Being actively involved in the daily activities of the desk, including but not limited to the onboarding of new clients, the processing of client instructions and ensuring the client files are well documented and up-to-date. This is a client-facing role for Credit Suicce Portugal, which will give you the opportunity to develop your external and internal communication and partner leadership skills. Internally, you will work in close collaboration with our internal departments and support functions (e.g., product experts, credit, risk, compliance, legal). This is the ideal opportunity to develop good knowledge on the private banking business and combine client-facing tasks with hands-on operational activities.

Do you want to know more about the participants and dynamics of the capital markets? You’ll:

• get to know the markets from the capital raising stage to disposal

• be involved in and contribute to providing M&A advice and execution, including

spinoffs,takeovers, exchange offers, takeover defense and formation of joint ventures

• interact with the equities platform to get an insight into the investor community views and

trends

• learn all about debt capital markets including corporate and emerging market bonds

• gain familiarity with structured products tailored to our clients’ funding and stake

management needs

• be able to analyze complex situations and develop the best strategy to maximize our clients’

Your expertise

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who is looking for a challenging traineeship in Banking and Finance fulfilling the below criteria:

• Currently undertaking a University undergraduate or higher education degree in Banking & Finance

• A completed traineeship or similar work experience in Banking & Finance in a client-facing role or in another relevant sector is an asset;

• Knowledge of the Private Banking & Wealth Management sector, financial products & services and the regulatory landscape is an asset;

• A proven ability to apply a problem-solving approach with good quantitative and analytical skills;

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work towards tight deadlines, taking full ownership of your tasks;

• Evidence of strong communication skills and passion that will enable to connect with clients and colleagues to support a high service quality level;

• Excellent teammate who can demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and self-initiative;

• Business proficiency in Portuguese and English is required .
