Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Sheet Metal Mechanic / Technician in Suffolk, VA.

Key duties and details for Sheet Metal Mechanic / Technician:· Select and fabricate sheet metal ducts according to specifications· Install ducts and related equipment· Coordinate with other trades and inspect installations· Load and unload construction materials· Maintain a safe work area and comply with safety regulations· Use hand tools and portable power tools in the installation of joints of duct such as slide and drive, TDF, snap lock, and other assemblies as required· Erect and install equipment such as air handling units, VAV boxes, fan power boxes, and others as required

Qualifications for Sheet Metal Mechanic / Technician:· High School Diploma or GED· Licensed Electrician· Proven experience as a sheet metal mechanic· Driver's License and work authorization· Experience with layouts and reading drawings· Ability to lead helpers or apprentices· Knowledgeable of OSHA safety regulations· Strong math skills· Able to work independently and in a team· Use of PPE· Knowledge of OSHA guidelines· Ability to perform standing/sitting job· Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp· Ability to lift at least 50 lbs· Knowledge of computers and mobile devices such as tablets and cell phones
