SHIFTORE - Shift 3 ($.85) (United States of America - Oregon)
A BRIEF OVERVIEW
As the Operations Technician, Foundry Operator you perform required operations to maintain forges, foundries, and furnaces for producing Orthopedic parts and products. You are also cross-trained and will perform numerous operations within forging without supervision. You will perform tasks to operate computer-controlled high temperature vacuum furnaces to ensure that parts meet customer specifications, as well as tasks related to receiving product to ensure that manufactured product is processed into the designated location in accordance with established policies, practices and procedures
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Operate and maintain Flash Fire unit; Remove sealed molds from drying tunnel; Ensure molds to be dewaxed are properly sequenced per casting schedule.
Inspect molds before and after dewax operations; Load and unload molds for preheat furnaces per daily schedule.
Operate induction furnace to cast molten alloy into molds.
Repair furnaces with linings and replacement of crucibles as required.
Sort molds and castings to maintain lot integrity.
Pull and set molds to sand pit to facilitate pouring of alloy into mold.
Assist melt furnace operator in casting each alloy charge.
Stage ingots for melt furnace operations per daily production schedule.
Inventory alloy and maintain daily consumption log.
Cut alloy ingots per daily casting production schedule.
Set and check melt furnace temperature controls.
Maintain precise documentation as related to daily production log
Completes all required training.
Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
Detect report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
Dimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.
Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products
Assist in training of personnel as directed by the department Supervisor or Lead.
Follow designated safety rules and regulations: Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated. .
Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
