We are looking for a Director of MS&T to join our fast-paced, growing environment at our cell therapy facility in Rockville, Maryland. This is a unique opportunity to make a direct contribution and immediate impact on patients by delivering life-saving cell therapies.

As the Director, you will provide technical directions and leadership to cell therapy manufacturing scientists.

What you will do:

Your responsibilities will include new product introduction into the site, process and productivity improvement, new technology evaluation and implementation, predictive data analytics, advanced CPV, and manufacturing process support.

Responsible for multiproduct cell therapy manufacturing processes and enhancing value to patients, planet, process, and people.

Building and handling a high-performing team of scientists and engineers including early talent development through interns, co-ops, and global graduates.

Ensure successful technology transfer, scale-up to commercial facilities, and process validation of new products into the site.

Drives process and productivity improvements in manufacturing processes in line with regulatory requirements and business objectives.

Authors, reviews, and approves CMC documentation for health authority responses and for regulatory filings.

Monitors and improves process performance of products manufactured at the site. Works with the functional manager to develop and implement enhanced tools and capabilities for ongoing process monitoring and trending.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Minimum 10 years in biologics drug substance manufacturing.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of scientists.

Experience with process analytical technologies, predictive analytics, and advanced Chemometrics.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cell therapy processes and automated technology.

Experience with Lean methodologies.

Proven track record of enhancing process productivity.
