Your Role:

The IT Project Manager II is a liaison between IT and the business to execute effective deliver of initiatives that are established by the business. This role will collaborate with stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and estimated resources needed. This role works closely with regional and global IT Business Partners for the business sector of Electronics including Business Process architects and business teams in the delivery of the project while meeting or exceeding stakeholder (internal business) expectations.

Ensures that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements.

Creates, manages, and distributes project communications artifacts like charters, schedules, and budgets.

Provides project status updates at predetermined time intervals to all stakeholders.

Communicates routinely to management, project team members, and other stakeholders, actively soliciting and addressing feedback.

Sets and monitors project budgets and staffing requirements.

Holds responsibility in developing plans, schedules, monitoring, and reporting on activities related to the project, including subcontractor monitoring delivered by 3rd parties.

Plans and leads status review meetings, which may include internal team members, vendors, and stakeholders.

Responsible for training, managing, and motivating the project team, as well as resolving team conflicts.

Resolves technical and operational issues as required enlisting subject matter expertise from within the organization as necessary and required.

Accountabilities:

This role is embedded within a business facing IT team, supporting our Delivery Systems and Services business, the IT Senior Project Manager will drive critical projects to success by bringing together our global IT infrastructure experts, business process experts and external vendors.

As Senior IT Project Manager (PM) day to day accountability will be to the IT Business Partner for NA/EU who overall leads the project team responsible for achieving the project objectives.

Expectation of this role presumes strong independent work contribution to drive project success using EMD’s tools and templates.

The Senior IT Project Manager will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization, process, and techniques.

You will be responsible to deliver our digital initiatives in their end-to-end life cycle to provide Business value.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

BS degree in business, computer science or related and 5+ IT acting as a Senior IT Project Manager

Proven project management record and experience with various project management methodologies (E.g., waterfall vs. agile) according to PMI standards.

Comfortable acting as the link between IT and business with strong motivation to learn new concepts, topics, and technologies associated with the business.

20% Domestic and international travel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Possess a creative and open mind, pro-actively take action and anticipate opportunities, act as an owner, with a strong sense of accountability.

Well versed in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA

Superior presentation skills at all levels.

Strong ability to manage risks, blockers, and dependencies.

Business and technical acumen for the assigned project area with an ability to influence cross-collaborative teams.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding global environment, with multiple projects running in parallel, and where ambiguity may exist requiring strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

Business English on negotiation level is a must.

Possess the PMP (Project Management Professional) designation (current and in good standing) from the Project Management Institute.
