Audit Staff - Investment Funds (Mutual Funds, ETFs) - Prestigious Public Accounting Firm

A well-respected public accounting firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Staff member to join their growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to specialize in audits of investment vehicles, including mutual funds, ETFs, and closed-end funds.

In this role, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting for their clients in the investment industry. You'll collaborate with experienced audit teams, directly liaise with clients, and gain valuable experience in the exciting world of financial services.

Responsibilities:

Conduct audits of financial records for investment vehicles like mutual funds, ETFs, and closed-end funds.

Assist senior auditors with the preparation and review of annual audit reports, ensuring adherence to GAAP and relevant regulations.

Work collaboratively within the audit team and liaise with clients to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit process.

Leverage strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in investment accounts.

Calculate and verify net asset values (NAV) during the audit process.

Support senior auditors in performing other audit procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a focus on auditing (CPA license preferred, or actively working towards obtaining one).

2-4 years of experience in investment fund audits or a related field within public accounting.

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant audit standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software used in auditing.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $90,000-120,000
