Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Convenience Store Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Store Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our convenience store. This includes ensuring excellent customer service, supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for handling financial transactions and promoting store products and services.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.

- Previous experience in a retail or convenience store setting.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Excellent customer service abilities.

- Proficiency in basic computer skills and cash handling.

- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniques.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all operations of the convenience store.

- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.

- Supervise and train store staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable and providing excellent service.

- Maintain store appearance and cleanliness standards.

- Manage inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.

- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Monitor daily sales and expenses, and prepare reports for review.

- Assist in creating and implementing marketing strategies to promote store products and services.

- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner.

- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new employees.

- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
