The Electrical Control Technician will be an integral part of the team designing and building a new metal, alloy, and magnet-making facility.

This is a rare opportunity to have a central role in the development of a greenfield advanced manufacturing facility and helping to define the future of American manufacturing.

The ideal candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision.

Familiar with supporting cell manufacturing automation equipment in development, installation, commissioning, retrofitting and production.

Working as a team with engineering (mechanical, software, process, and electrical). The new facility will contain a broad range of chemical, mechanical, and thermal processes, including electrowinning, strip casting, powder production, pressing & sintering, machining, and assembly.

Because of the broad range of processes in use, it is important that the Electrical Control Technician be able to engage with a broad range of technical specialists and gain a working understanding of the physical processes, key control metrics, and potential hazards involved.

Essential Duties: * Develop / Follow all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTOTO, Arc Flash, etc.). * Strong electrical control troubleshooting and ability to read electrical schematic.

* Experience working on Manufacturing systems ranging from 12 VDC to 480 VAC.

* Development / Implementation / Troubleshooting for Digital/Analog IO, safety interlock system, VFD and Servo Drive systems.

* Experienced on wiring, networking, and operating computer programs within an industrial/manufacturing environment.

* Capable to do basic mechanical assembly job like bolting brackets, cover and using basic hand and power tools.

* Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC experience, and capable to make basic PLC code change.

* Works in partnership with broader engineering design team to create automated processes with an integrated process flow.

* Participate as a member of the overall process design team.

* Works closely with EHS to ensure that all work is done to ensure world class health and safety, and full compliance with relevant environmental regulations.

* Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications: * Completion of an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical and/or Instrumentation Program.

* Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation and/or Control repair and maintenance.

* Knowledge in industrial automation and networked machines.

* Knowledge in uninterruptable power sources, diesel/gas generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, and automatic/static transfer switches.

* Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, IBC, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.

* Hands-on approach to projects.

* Sound knowledge of Process Safety.

* Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
