Do you love working with children? The Wellsville YMCA is hiring a Site Supervisor at our Bolivar-Richburg site! Applicants must have at least two years of childcare experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Child Care Site Supervisor at the Wellsville YMCA is responsible for the daily operations of the 21st CCLC Program at the Wellsville Middle School. The Site Supervisor holds primary responsibility for the education, health, welfare and safety of the children enrolled in the 21st CCLC Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Manage the 21st CCLC Program at the assigned site, including compiling program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in the program; securing, scheduling, and maintaining the needed facilities; creating and scheduling the activities or events; and maintaining program records or files.

2. Operate the 21st CCLC program in accordance with the regulations put forth by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).

3. Assures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as they relate to program areas, including ADA accommodations where appropriate; ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.

4. Follows the 21st CCLC program guidance to maintain and ensure all guideline requirements are met.

5. Complete performance reports, student data spreadsheets, and all other required reporting to comply with the grant, OCFS SACC licensing, and school district.

6. Act as a liaison with other community agencies and School Age committees and partnerships representing the YMCA.

7. Establish goals and unit objectives for the 21st CCLC Program that is consistent with those of the YMCA. Review classroom lesson plans to ensure developmental objectives are being met.

8. Coordinate, plan and execute the program and curricula for the programs with the STEM teachers and program leaders assuring that the program provided meets the highest quality standards.

9. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and appraise work of the Program Leaders, Program Aides and other support staff. Maintain staff schedules and evaluates staff performance.

10. Facilitates communication and provides leadership; models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions.

11. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.

12. Assure that staff is fulfilling their training obligations. Designate a staff person who is responsible for compliance in the Site Supervisor’s absence.

13. Give personal attention and supervision to every aspect of the 21st CCLC Program.

14. Develop and implement a marketing plan for the program, ensuring monthly newsletters, and follow up phone calls to phone inquiries and inviting press to special events.

15. Develop strong parent participation and community involvement in the program, working with the supporting employers, advisory committee and parent organizations.

16. Monitor city and state activities and keeping abreast of current trends in this field.

17. Work collaboratively with the school administration and classroom teachers to ensure program aligns with the school district goals.

18. Model relationship-building skills in all interactions; develops and maintains collaborative relationships with staff, parents and caregivers, and community organizations (e.g., state child care licensing agency, school administration) to maximize program impact and drive overall outcomes; maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility.

19. Demonstrate quality standards in Character Development at all times.

20. Continue professional development through self-study, research, and/or conference/workshop participation. Maintains certifications as required for the position.

21. Participates in branch programs and special events as requested. Assumes the Leader on Duty responsibilities as scheduled.

22. Takes a leadership role in the Annual Campaign and serves as a Staff Team Captain for the branch. Recruits, on-boards, and develops volunteers from diverse backgrounds for the annual campaign program. Works closely with the Branch Executive Director in meeting the established annual campaign goal.

23. Carries out additional responsibilities and assignments deemed necessary by the Child Care Program Director and the CEO.
