Electrical Assembly and Test Technician

Overview:

Full time and part time electrical and test technician roles available.

Assembly and testing components for AR/VR optics, LiDAR, AI camera systems, camera modules and other advanced optical systems.

Full scope of responsibilities includes PCB assembly, optical assembly, micro-assembly, optical testing, electrical testing, 3D printing and other lab related tasks.

Duties include:

PCB soldering including 0402 SMT component assembly under a microscope

optical component assembly and testing in a cleanroom environment

work closely with engineers and other technical staff to development new processes

debug custom PCBs based on schematic and perform rework to determine root cause of failure

3D printing and prototype development

procuring parts, work with suppliers to build samples

hands on lab work, assembly and testing

Experience / Attributes Required:

graduated from a technical college with mechanical or electrical technical diploma or equivalent work experience

extremely hands-on with strong computer skills and ability to pick up new software effectively and efficiently

strong mechanical aptitude, good with microscopes and working with small parts. Careful attention to detail.

logical and clear problem-solving skills with exceptional communication skills

3D printing experience definitely an asset
