Job Description
Our firm is seeking a law firm bookkeeper who can dive in to assist our growing team. You should have exceptional knowledge of Excel, Quickbooks Online and accounting software, accounts receivable and payable, and financial transaction reports. You’ll execute monthly client billing and answer any client inquiries concerning those invoices. $40,000 - $55,000 yearlyResponsibilities:
Maintain both accounts receivable and accounts payable and process monthly invoices for clients
Reconcile general ledgers, prepare financial transaction reports such as income and loss statements, balance sheets, and account reconciliations
Ensure staff and attorney payroll is processed, prepare annual W-2’s and 1099’s, and tax filings
Respond to client and staff inquiries concerning invoices
Assist in our year-end audit with financial reporting and analysis
Trust Account Reconciliation, adhering to all requirements (and above!) for law firm accounting
Oversee all financial transactions, such as credit card and bank reconciliations, and manage the accounts payables and accounts receivables process

Qualifications:
Firm grasp of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures
Capable of maintaining strict confidentiality dealing with financial data
Three years of previous experience in accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience in the legal industry
An Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred - a high school diploma is required
Must have excellent organization, analytical, problem-solving, and communication

Must have Quickbooks Online experience and knowledge.
