Job Description
Description:
Dwell Design Studio is seeking a radically polished Project Architect who loves getting into details to plan and develop projects of medium to large scope and work under minimal supervision.
Who we are:
At Dwell, we like to think big and small – producing high minded concepts without losing sight of the details. We’re notoriously accurate: producing some of the cleanest documents this side of the galaxy. We’re methodically unconventional: designing clever spaces that aren’t outlandish or lacking purpose. And we’re solid people: easy to work with, fun to be around, and void of pretension.
Dwell's award-winning architectural and interiors teams work with both housing and retail developers, including some of the nation’s largest Real Estate Investment Trusts, in designing high density, mixed-use, and urban infill projects. Our projects and offices span many states from Arizona to South Florida, up through DC, Virginia, and Maryland, and into New York and Connecticut. We have been awarded as one of the Best Places to Work in 2021 and for many years prior.
What You’ll Do:
Work closely with the Project Manager and Construction Administrator on a dynamic project team
Become a key component within the overall design document team
Engage with teams to creatively solve problems
Put the mouse down at times and study designs with pen and trace
Attending client meetings and leading day to day consultant coordination.
Developing and directing Project Detailing
Specification Coordination
In collaboration with the Construction Administration team, identifying potential issues and assisting with resolution, as well as assisting in developing solutions to significant or recurring technical challenges
Driving Technical Quality in our documents, during all phases of a project
