The wage range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on the specific details and circumstances of each candidate such as experience, skills, and education. Therefore, job title and salary range may vary.

Title: Senior HR Generalist

Location: North Barrington, IL (Onsite Position)

Some relocation assistance may be available

Position Summary:

The Senior HR Generalist supports HR tasks, systems, and operations in support of the HR department objectives. In this position, the Senior HR Generalist will perform responsibilities pertaining but not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, training and development, employee engagement, performance, compensation, and benefits. The Senior HR Generalist will also be responsible for being the SME of the HRIS (ADP Workforce Now), running and analyzing ad hoc reports, and communicating with leadership, hiring managers, and cross-functional departments to provide support in all HR areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Generalist Duties

Assist in streamlining HR processes and procedures

Collect and organize data to improve HR strategies and processes

Provide payroll processor with detailed information of all payroll processing exceptions

Review, organize, and maintain hiring requisitions for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorized signatures

Manage and track annual merit and performance reviews

Support recruiting and onboarding for multiple departments

Post internal and external job postings for open positions

Monitor and review applications via our ATS and LinkedIn

Work with hiring managers and candidates to secure interview availability and respond to queries

Assist with producing offer letters

Communicate onboarding documents and expectations to incoming employees

Process orders for business cards and nameplates for all North Barrington new hires

Assist in coordinating open enrollment, employee performance appraisals, and employee status changes

Provide leadership with employee-related reports, dashboards, and analytics

Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, ensuring internal policies and practices are up-to-date and compliant

Facilitate seamless employee onboarding and offboarding processes

Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality

Collaborate with IT department to enhance HR system functionalities, resulting in improved data accessibility and reporting capabilities

HRIS Duties

Process new hires in HRIS and ERP system

Execute, document, and relay best practice within the company’s HRIS system

Identify HRIS improvements and process opportunities

Contribute to the ongoing solution design, configuration, integration, testing, and training of the HRIS system

Ensure data integrity within HRIS system, review and approve employee changes to status, location, termination

Configure and maintain HRIS system settings, security and workflow to align with organizational needs

Monitor and support all HR system related inquiries and provide ongoing support to users

Research and resolve system errors, unanticipated results or process faults, propose solutions or alternative approaches

Act as point of contact for onboarding in HRIS, benefits portal, payroll, and general employment questions

Run reports in ADP and evaluate the information for reporting purposes

Reconcile benefit file feeds and discrepancy reports generated by our HRIS

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree in HR or business-related field of study or equivalent experience

Experience working in a Human Resources role

Experience working within an HRIS, ADP WFN experience is a plus

Experience or knowledge of employee benefits and compensation

Experience applying HR-related laws to organizational processes

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Ability to handle sensitive matters

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to manage multiple projects, requests, and deadlines simultaneously; Prioritize varying responsibilities

Ability to input data accurately and consistently

Ability to network and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, HRIS, and outside recruiting platforms (LinkedIn)

Familiarity with general HR processes and systems, ADP experience preferred

Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Results-oriented

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
