ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Perform all maintenance activities in a safe, clean and efficient manner.

Maintain compliance with changing OSHA regulations.

Will be required at times, with proper notice, to work overtime and may need to work flexible shifts to include nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Performs duties of general help and job assignments as required.

All Keeco associates play a crucial role in meeting our customer requirements and are expected after initial training to perform with minimal supervision. Associates may be asked to assist with other duties and work in other departments when needed to meet those requirements.

MECHANIC I DUTIES

Perform the necessary corrective maintenance to ensure the facility and equipment are operating properly.

Perform all maintenance activities in a safe, clean and efficient manner.

Replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment and align gears, shafts, pulleys and belts.

Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment.

Perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.

Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner.

Respond in a timely manner to all red lights and maintenance requests on the production floor.

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan.

Record activities using the proper PM checklist sheets.

Maintain Keeco LTO certification and safely operate all lift trucks (boom, scissor, forklift)

Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean-up, machine and equipment clean-up, sweeping production floor after clean-up and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned.

Perform activities to acquire detailed knowledge of equipment components to diagnose causes of electrical mechanical malfunctions or provide corrective maintenance.

Participate in a maintenance training programs to continuously improve knowledge, skills and abilities.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED

At least 1-3 years technical training and/or job-related experience

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

English proficiency to include reading, writing and following directions

Ability to count and apply basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, division and multiplication with or without a calculator

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the associate will frequently walk; reach with hands and arms and maneuver around work area throughout the shift. The associate may also spend a great deal of time sitting, squatting, reaching (at times above head) and using hands to finger, grasp, handle, or feel. The Associate is occasionally required to balance, stoop and bends regularly to move/lift material or equipment (typically 50 lbs. or less).

The ability to hear and see with vision abilities in close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
