The Harbor for Youth, a program of Comprehensive Youth Services is seeking a professional advocate position working with runaway and homeless youth 9-17 years old, in a 24/7/365 residential setting.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services Field, experience working with youth is desired. Must have a valid Driver's License a clean driving record, must pass all required MDHHS background checks. Hours: Primarily afternoons/evenings based on youth and program needs, availability for some weekends and some holidays as needed.

The advocate assists in the implementation of Individualized Case Management, HMIS data entry, aftercare services, intakes and assessments discharges and follow-ups. The position requires a positive youth development and trauma informed care approach. This position requires part-time advocates to complete or assist in the completion of the advocate and intervention specialist duties.

Duties of position:

Assist intervention specialist staff in daily client care and program requirements

Assist in the completing Intake/assessments,, case management, and required paperwork in a timely manner

Collaborating with the Program Manager and Therapist in creating and implementing Treatment Plans for youth and the Family

Assisting in the implementation of daily Life skills

Answering the agency crisis and information/referral calls

Participate in agency Intrastaff and monthly staff meetings assisting in supervision and case consultation,

Provide individual and family Case Management and assistance in accessing Community resources,

Implement a plan with each client to build knowledge of basic life skills (hygiene, boundaries, relationships, education, financial literacy)

Complete discharges,, safe exits, aftercare and follow-ups with exited clients

Assist in Safe exits within 12 hours of client leaving

Follow-ups 30, 60, 90 and 180 days after exit date

Aftercare weekly for 12 weeks

Follow all required local, state, and federal licensing requirements

Assist in the implementation of the programs structure

Compiles data and narrative descriptions for quarterly, semi-annual and annual

reports as assigned.

Assist with RHYMIS reporting

Complete all required annual training hours

Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager
