Real Estate Accountant

Gpac, a reputable recruiting firm with over 30 years of experience, has teamed up with a prominent real estate company seeking a Property Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

Manage all accounting aspects related to commercial properties, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements adhering to GAAP and company policies.

Assist in budget preparation and periodic forecasts, monitoring performance and providing analysis to management.

Review commercial lease agreements, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and resolving discrepancies.

Coordinate property tax and CAM payments, reconciling expenses with budgets.

Conduct financial analysis to evaluate property performance and support decision-making.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.

Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting or related field.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
