Essential Job Functions
Keeps working areas neat, clean and safe.
Communicates with patients, visitors, and other Hospital employees with tact.
Offers assistance to patients and visitors requiring special assistance
Maintains patients rights to privacy
Performs minor maintenance of equipment used in the performance of duties
Tapes drywall and prepares surfaces prior to the application of paint, stain or wall covering material
Applies decorative and protective coatings to interior and exterior surfaces of the Medical Center buildings, furniture and fixtures
Required Qualifications
High school graduate
Successful completion of recognized apprentice program in painting.
Must be able to pass vision test for color blindness in pre-employment physical.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and communicate with others in writing.
Knowledge of use and maintenance of power and hand equipment used on the job.
Must be able to work from ladders and scaffolds.
Must be physically capable of performing the work expected in an efficient manner.
Must have knowledge of safety rules, practices and equipment.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively and work with other people.
Must be capable of strenuous physical activity.
