The RoleWe are currently looking for a Principal Cloud DevOps Specialist to join our R&D Aspen Cloud team. As a member of a cross functional team, you will oversee deployment and operations of the tools supporting our collaboration and productivity. The role calls for someone with the necessary hard and soft skills required to overcome the traditional barriers between software development, testing and operations teams. You will join a team of very skilled, talented, and passionate people, always bringing the industry best practices to our workflow.

Your Impact

Monitor, support and maintain software products in an Agile Development environment.

Implement, maintain and support CICD pipelines and processes for on-premises and Cloud computing infrastructure used day-to-day by the R&D organization for the development, configuration, and delivery of commercial software solutions.

Maintain and improve our in-house DevOps code written in different languages (Bash, Python, Go).

Research, recommend, and implement tools and process improvements in Cloud operations, monitoring, and security.

Enable a culture of accountability and collaboration with customer support, development, security, and product management teams.

Assist with implementation and adherence to security best practices and certification controls.

Document operational processes, and critical infrastructure.

Maintain clear communications, documentation, and timely support.

Stay informed of industry trends and modern technologies that could benefit operations, security, or Cloud solutions.

Mentor and support technical growth of team members.

Participate in on call rotation of critical events.

What You'll Need

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in computer science or equivalent, with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Ability to take ownership of tasks and projects.

Must have strong cloud architecture, cloud operations, security architecture, security engineering, and DevOps skills.

Strong experience with container engines such as Docker.

Strong experience with the Kubernetes and Helm.

Strong experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CrossPlane, etc.

Strong experience with SCM and CI/CD systems such as Gitlab and GitHub.

Strong experience with Artifact Repositories and Vulnerability Scanning

Experience with Azure, AWS and other public Cloud providers.

Experience with GitOps and Promotion Models.

Experience with monitoring systems and log management.

Exposure to agile development methodologies.

Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer service skills.

Bilingualism - ability to communicate in writing and spoken in both French and English is a plus.
