Job Summary

The Instructional Lab Coordinator will be part of The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering's (ECE) world-leading, laboratory-based instructional team as we scale to meet increasing enrollment and adapt content to serve online and on-campus learners. As part of the ECE lab manager team, this position will develop and administer project- and laboratory-based instruction. The role includes supporting and aiding faculty who are developing and delivering laboratory-based teaching. The Instructional Lab Coordinator will maintain personal excellence in educational techniques, technologies, and industrial practice.

What We Are Looking For

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, computer engineering technology, or related field

A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, including but not limited to:

Experience with EDA software, design and simulation tasks

Experience with electrical and computer engineering topics, digital system design, and/or HDL programming (Verilog or VHDL)

Experience with embedded system design (incorporating digital, analog, and mixed signal components), and/or assembly language programming

PREFERRED:

Master’s degree

SKILLS:

REQUIRED:

Ability to work with UNIX and Windows operating systems

Strong technical and professional communication skills

Ability to design and organize effective laboratory experiments

Able to effectively use modern office and web applications

Able to create, use and manage web-based content

Able to operate a range of basic laboratory instruments
