THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our Sydney team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is a site-based role where you may be assigned to work on projects in Sydney’s northern beaches, lower north shore or eastern suburbs. You will be working solely on luxury residential projects of $5M-$20M in value, which may range from renovations of established residences to new residential builds, with a focus on quality above all else.

This is your opportunity to gain valuable experience and knowledge working in a detail-orientated, quality-driven building team with an excellent industry reputation, reporting directly to the construction manager.

KEY ROLE ATTRIBUTES

Ø You will enjoy undertaking general carpentry tasks from form work and framing through to delivering detailed high-quality finishes.

Ø You will help successfully deliver projects from pre-construction through to defect liability, handover and even ongoing maintenance

Ø This is a hands-on role where you will work as part of a team to deliver high-quality, custom finishes.

CORE SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Ø to have a minimum of 3 years experience in a carpenter position;

Ø A Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent is required, as well as white card.

Ø Strong track record in architect designed residential construction is required;

Ø Experience or understanding of construction detail resolution;

Ø Experience in doors, locks, windows, metalworks and finishing trades;

Ø Good knowledge of basic plumbing, mechanical and electrical services;

Ø Excellent attention to detail, quality and finish;

Ø Understanding of construction sequences;

Ø Ability to think through issues and resolve problems;

Ø Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment;

Ø to be well presented, with strong time management skills, excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn and teach;

Ø High degree of English proficiency;

Ø Works well both in a team and independently, always seeing tasks through to completion;

Ø to be available while site is open Monday to Saturday;

Ø Their own vehicle, active drivers licence and white card; and

Ø Australian working rights.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Ø Travel within Sydney to various projects is required

Ø Remuneration is negotiated based on skill, experience and qualifications; and

Ø All required equipment and uniforms/PPE will be provided.

The salary for the position will vary depending on experience, but the expected salary range is $70,000 to $100,000.
