The Lead Educator/Group Leader is a respected position within the Lady Gowrie organisation, with overarching responsibility to provide a stimulating, caring and happy environment for children to support program goals.
Key duties include promoting and ensuring:
The provision of high quality care for the children in which ever group s/he is working with at the time.
To share and work with other staff and students in the daily program of the Service
To share with parents in the development of their children
To assist in care duties as required with all children at the Service
Collaboration with Educator/ mentoring.
The Lead Educator reports to and works closely with the Service Manager and works in cooperation with other Lead Educators. To have an attitude and desire that reflects a positive attitude to working with young children and seeking more knowledge of early childhood development and Service based care.
The Lead Educator will ensure a sound understanding of Service and the organisations philosophy, policies and procedures and comply with these. Lady Gowrie Qld Inc. aspires to reflective practice in all aspects of work, continuous quality improvement and the highest possible standards of service provision.

A salary of $70 000 per annum (depending on experience and qualification).
The successful applicants will have:
Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA approved Bachelor
Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
Hold a current Blue Card and hold current first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis
Experience in developing engaging educational programs to support the learning and development of children
Proven experience building and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with Children, Families and Colleagues
